South African comedian and certainly one of the best from Africa,
Trevor Noah, will succeed The Daily Host Show, Jon Stewart as the host
of the Comedy Central show. According to the network statement,
Trevor who is currently on tour in Dubai will try to cover the place
left by Stewart who has hosted the show for nearly 16 years and led it
to 23 Emmy Awards.
The unexpected promotion comes only few months since Trevor Noah,31,
joined the show as a contributor. He joined in December. But Noah who
is hailed by many comedian as one kid with a sharp comic mind, seems to
have wooed the executives of the show when it came to looking for Jon’s
successor. He will become the first African to host such a monumental
show and one of the widely watched shows in USA.
